1. Have you started subcontracting? No, but after being ‘out of the picture’ for a couple of years, I’m ready to get back in the swing. I thought subbing would be a good start.

2. What are your expertise and favorite services you will be offering? Web and Blog design and admin, database and spreadsheet admin, newsletters, desktop publishing, technical writing and copy editing (but I can do just about anything!)

3. Why have you chosen to subcontract vs contracting your own clients? As mentioned above, I thought it would be a good way to get myself ‘out there’ again. I am also actively seeking regular clients.

4. What resources have helped you in getting started as a sub? Forums, blogs, coaching or books? VA organizations, Blogs, social networking

5. Share a success story or something about yourself and how this could benefit someone to take you on as a subcontractor: I’ve been in the VA industry since October of 1996, when it was first coming into the picture so to speak. I’ve worked as a VA while I’ve been employed in the corporate world, and I’ve worked my business full time and part time (sans corporate job) as well.

I’ve got what it takes to be successful i.e. passion for the industry, smarts, technical savvy, great logistics and organizational skills, and I’m definitely not afraid to work alone all day. As a matter of fact, I love it. I’m not really cut out for the corporate world. I enjoy running my own show beyond measure.

I’m also very eager to be of service. I LOVE helping others and sharing my knowledge. I’m easy to get along with, and always willing to collaborate -whether it’s with other VAs or my clients.

I could go on and on and on here, but I think you get the picture ;->

6. Additional comments you’d like to share: This is a great idea. I’d love to be part of it. Thanks for putting this out to the community!
