Living in a rural area jobs are quite scarce, let alone WAH positions. So, I took it upon myself to find an area I could work and learn at the same time, virtual subcontracting. My mentor, Diane Hess, of the Certified Virtual Professional program. http://certifiedvp.com had a huge part in getting started as a virtual service provider. However, I took it one step further. My niche, subcontracting, gives the opportunity to provide expertise and learn from some of the most successful virtual business owners known.
Now, limiting my availability and making sure I stay fair to the family is my biggest hurdle. No matter what mentor or training program you may choose it all depends on what you put into the program yourself.
